Quick start

This short tutorial will show you how to create and view a simple program using the Camillo editor. When the program starts for the first time you will see the following source code displayed within the main edit window.


Rem select create web page from the run menu to view this page

Display some text


Make sure the text cursor is within the <body> and </body> section of this program then enter, or copy and paste the following line of code.


WriteText "Welcome to my web page"


Saving your program


To save this program using a different file name click on File from the editor's menu and select Save As. Then enter your program name and click on the Ok button. All programs are saved to disk with a .web file extension.


Creating your web page


Click on the Create Web Page icon from the editor's toolbar to display the Create Web Page dialog. This dialog allows you to select Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Opera.
