The editor is designed to make web programming easy. Simply enter your HTML or any of the built-in web components and create your own homepage or a complete web site. Camillo editor provides users with an integrated development environment, multi document tab interface, and syntax coloring for easier editing of source code.
You can easily create your own custom commands within the editor to run a script or library file. First create a library file using a specific name. Then include this name within your source code to execute your script.
Camillo editor enables you to edit application software files directly from code elements within your programs, such as document, images, sound files, and style sheets. It is also possible to view a specific web page from within a code element using Active text.
The multi document interface allows you to keep multiple files open. The editor's horizontal tabs interface allows the user to work on several documents simultaneously.
Code generator dialogs
The editor has a number of useful dialogs (dialog boxes) available that allow you to include HTML code, such as displaying Images, including Hypertext links, Image gallery, and using Forms within your pages. For more information, please see the Camillo editor help file.
It is possible to modify syntax highlighting and system colors such as background, gutter, and line numbers. The editor also comes with its own collection of ready to use system color themes.
Using the preferences dialog will give you more control over the way Camillo editor performs. This dialog allows you to customize various aspects of the editor, such as Display toolbar tips, Verify delete files, and Backup files when saving programs.
You can also insert sections of code from library files. This feature allows you to minimize the use of repeated code within the editor. To save a section of code as a library file, simply highlight your text and click on Save Selection from the editor's File menu.
The built-in Library manager can be used for editing and managing all of your library code files. Features include Open files, Save files, and Print code. You can also use the library manager to edit plain ASCII text files.
The web page editor allows you to view your pages using multiple browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Netscape Navigator via the Create Web page dialog.
The Find dialog allows the user to search for a particular word or phrase within the source code. It is also possible to select the Match case checkbox to make a search case-sensitive.
To print text from within the program editor at any time, simply select Print from the File menu. To print selected text from within the editor, first highlight the desired text and select Print Selection from the File menu.
Automatically create a backup copy of your program when saving files to disk. If you accidentally delete a program, simply click on File from the editorís menu and select Restore backup. Then select a file from the list displayed within the Restore backup dialog.
You can insert special characters and accented letters into your HTML code, such as the copyright symbol or a pound sign, at any time with the use of the Special Characters dialog. This dialog can be activated from the editor's Include menu.
